Regulations Updates – as discussed in previous meetings for possible inclusion or clarification in next revision of Bridport Town Regulations:

·         Campers as single-family dwellings – Sept 2023

·         Bridport Zoning Regulations, Section 523 (Campers and Trailers) and Section 530 (Mobile Homes), be updated to clarify that septic and wastewater systems for these dwellings on Bridport properties must abide by all Vermont State regulations stipulated in the State of Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, Dept of Environmental Conservation, Drinking Water and Groundwater Protection Division, Environmental Protection Rules, Wastewater System and Potable Water Supply Rules, Effective April 12, 2019. – Aug 2023

·         Lot size – allow for non-standard shapes (in addition to rectangular) – July 2023

·         Zones for neighborhood development, PUDs, AirBnB types – July 2023

·         Are waivers covered in regs? – July 2023

·         Ordinances are easier to enforce then Regs – July 2023

·         Fine fee structure – July 2023

·         Clarify definitions, clearly define criteria for major and minor subdivisions, assure wise land use and accessibility – June 2023

·         BPC has authority to approve a subdivision that does not meet zoning requirements

·         Bill of Sale: A Bill of Sale is not required for a boundary line adjustment if both parties agree to the new property line(s). – May 2023

 

TOWN OF BRIDPORT PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE The Bridport Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in the Town Office at 82 Crown Point Road, on each and to consider each of the following application(s): 1. At 6:45 PM on Application (#23-37) by Lucien Hotte for a 2-lot subdivision of parcel ID# 08-040.4 owned by Lucien Hotte. The property is located at 2280 Hemenway Rd., Bridport, Vermont 05734 Plans and additional information regarding any such application may be viewed at said Town Office or by calling (802) 758-2483, Ext. 2. Participation in the Planning Commissions proceeding is a prerequisite to the right to take any subsequent appeal on any decision of it on an application.
