Planning Commission
Second Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m., Town Office
The PC members are appointed by the Select Board. They are responsible for creating and updating the Town Plan and the Zoning Regulations. The PC also reviews certain permit applications as specified in the Zoning Regulations.
The Planning Commission is comprised of seven citizen volunteers appointed by the Bridport Select Board and created under the authority enabled under Vermont State Statute 24 VSA Chapter 117 § 4325.
This commission has the responsibility of developing overall land use and development policy for the Town of Bridport. This typically takes two forms - the development of land use plans and capacity studies, and the development of land use regulations (subdivision bylaws, zoning regulations, etc).
